SmartAza

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to what people ask the most.

Receiving a gift

Do I need an Owoche account to redeem?

No. Bank cashout works without an account — just paste your NUBAN. If you have an Owoche wallet, you can also redeem straight into it for instant credit.

How long does the bank transfer take?

Usually a couple of minutes once you confirm. Settlement is handled through licensed Nigerian PSPs.

What if I lose the OTP?

For OTP-protected gifts, ask the sender to resend the code, or request a fresh OTP on the redemption page. Codes expire after a short window.

What if the link is expired?

Tokens expire on the date the sender chose. After that, the sender can cancel the gift in their Owoche app and get a refund.

Can the sender see who I am?

No. The sender only sees that the gift was claimed — not your identity, your bank, or your phone number.

Sending a gift

Where do I create a SmartAza?

Only inside the Owoche app — that's where your wallet authorises the payment. Download from the App Store or Google Play.

Can I cancel a gift after sending it?

Yes — open the gift inside your Owoche app and tap Cancel. If it hasn't been claimed, the full amount returns to your wallet.

What's the maximum gift amount?

₦50,000 per token today. For larger transfers use a standard Owoche transfer.

How does sender-approval work?

When the recipient tries to redeem, you get an instant push notification asking to Approve or Reject. The funds only release if you tap Approve.

Trust & security

How are tokens protected?

Every request from this site to the Owoche backend is HMAC-signed and timestamp-bound. Tokens are single-use and tied to your sender wallet — they can't be copied or replayed.

Is SmartAza regulated?

SmartAza is operated by Transingenium Innovations Ltd, working with CBN-licensed payment partners. Cash movement is recorded in an audited ledger.

Where do I report a problem?

Email support@owoche.online with the token reference. We respond within 5–7 business days.
